Leonard “Wayne” Halladay age 82 Dartmouth Nova Scotia passed away surrounded by his loving family on August 21, 2024, at the Dartmouth General Hospital.

Wayne is survived by his three daughters Deborah (Larry) Wotton, Donna (Terry) Lawlor and Christine Halladay. His sister Donna and brother-in-law Jim (Mae). He was a cherished grandfather of 5 Grandchildren Tyler (Courtney), Natasha (Tim), Brianne, Lauren, and Max.

Wayne was predeceased by the love of his life wife and soulmate Roberta (Robinson) Halladay, and parents A. Leonard Halladay and Helen (Lougheed) Halladay.

Born in Collingwood Ontario, he later moved to St. Catherines Ontario where he joined the Navy in 1960 as a cadet. Wayne became a pilot upon completion of Venture training in 1962 it was at that time he found the 2 greatest loves of his life, his beautiful Belfast Bride Roberta, and a passion for flying. Wayne spoke about his two loves every chance he could!

Wayne loved being a pilot and proudly served in the Canadian Navy until his retirement. At that time, he enjoyed his hobby farm, gardening, long walks, his Blue Jays, family and travelling with his best friend Roberta.

Wayne/Dad/Papa will forever be in our hearts, this is the conclusion of one of the greatest love stories.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time. Donations may be made to a charity of choice or the Shearwater Aviation Museum
