Passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness. Born in Worthing England in 1936 and moved to Canada at a young age. He will be lovingly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Diane Mary. He was blessed and will be missed by his son Christopher and his wife Kim, his daughter Kathy and his grandchildren Stephanie and her husband Donnie, Shaun, Chelsea, Alex, Michael and Kenneth and his great grandson Jacob. Will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
After his retirement from the Royal Canadian Navy he was with PPG Canada for 38 years retiring as Project Engineer and retired to Belleville 12 years ago. Loved to travel with Diane, loved to make wine and explore the world of Scotch. In a world of questionable motives and infinite gray zones he was an officer and a gentleman in the truest sense of the word.
A memorial service will be held at the Belleville Funeral Home and Chapel, 68 North Front Street, Belleville (613-968-5080), Saturday March 2nd, 2013; visitation from 12pm till 1pm, Service at 1pm followed by a reception. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Naval Memorial Trust (www.canadasnavalmemorial.ca) or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
