P.S.     In the mid-50's, .....on staff at HMCS Venture, .....Inst.LCdr. Farrington  taught English and Naval History (with passion) to many Naval Cadets. He combined a genuine friendly approachable and interested attitude towards Cadets while encouraging them to strive for high standards. He was never negative or critical and his effect on all his Cadets was profound.
Many instructors never get the opportunity to see their graduates in later years. Laurie did, .....especially at the "Venture" Reunions he attended.
