HMCS Venture - Next Iteration
On 15 July 2022 I attended a ceremony at NOTC during which the establishment was officially re-named HMCS Venture. The newly named establishment will be home to the Naval Leadership Training Centre and conduct leadership courses for officers and NCMs, as well as continue to train all Surface Warfare Officers (previously known as MARS officers) in all things navigational , including the simulator. The new C.O. will once again be a post-sea command commander, the first being Commander Mike Stefanson, recent commanding officer of HMCS Winnipeg.
