Dedication of the Venture (1954-1968) Cairn
Fellow Ventures, Ladies and Gentlemen,
We, the VENTURE (1954-1968) Legacy Committee are pleased to inform you of
the dedication of the VENTURE (1954-1968) Legacy cairn at the Naval Museum
in STADACONA, Base Halifax. The dedication will be Sat 14 Sept 2024 at
1400(2:00PM). A reception will follow in the ballroom at the base mess.
We are extremely pleased with the generosity of those Ventures that have made the
fundraising such a success and made the project a reality.
We will be inviting The Commander Maritime Forces Atlantic, Adm. Kurtz; the
Atlantic Fleet Commander, Cmdre. French; the Base Commander, CFB Halifax,
Capt. Fortin ; the 12 Wing Commander, Shearwater, Col Holmes, and the
Commander CANSUB 4, Capt. Kooiman as our special guests for the occasion.
We are hoping to see as many Ventures and their families as possible at the
dedication, appreciating that it is a long distance and perhaps difficult for many to
travel.
